An Investigation of the Wear Resistance of Arc Sprayed Stainless Steel Coatings

The wear resistance of arc sprayed stainless steel (3Cr13 and 1Cr18Ni9Ti) coatings was investigated. The effect of spraying parameters on the wear resistance of the coatings and the action of the pores in the coatings were examined. Then the wear mechanisms of the coatings were discussed as well.
