Measurement for Friction between Human Skin and Woven Fabric

Abstract
In order to investigate the friction between human skin and fabrics , a simulating tester based on strength - elongation tester was developed . It was found that the first friction curve was obviously lower than that of the subsequent curves in a set of trial , and the fluctuation of dynamic friction for the former was larger than that of the latter . Experiments for reproducibility and comparability were carried out to ensure the data were effective and objective. The results showed that reproducibility of the friction signal was satisfied and the friction force was comparable among different fabrics and skin . In order to generalize the relatively steady conditions ( tension , friction speed , sample width ) , comparative analysis were carried out among four kinds of woven fabrics . According to the stability of signal and actual test conditions , the basic test parameters for conventional woven fabric were recommended as follows : the appropriate tension 2N , sliding speed 500 mm / min , and the sample width 10 cm
