Abstract
Experiment of friction material adhere to the stator of the traveling wave type rotary ultrasonic motor was carried out. The friction material was composed of epoxy resin as matrix and was filled with graphite, Aluminium oxide and PTFE. Compared with the identical material without fillers on rotor, the results show that both the breadth of the work frequency and stability of the motor were increased. The frictional coefficient decreased slightly when the pre-load was higher, and adhesive wear and fatigue were the dominant mechanisms under the ultrasonic vibration.
