Measurement of the Temperature Field for Polyetheretherketone Pin Subjected to Pin-on-Disc Friction and Wear Test

  • The temperature field for PEEK pins subjected to pin on disc friction and wear test are measured on pin disk tester.It is found that the temperatures of the PEEK pins are approximately uniform at the same circumference; when PV values increase, the cross section temperatures increase. When the temperatures of the pins are lowered by forced air and liquid colognes, they keep constant, so the friction and wear tests will proceed under constant temperatures.
