Wear Mechanism on 3Cr13 Coating under Accelerated Condition of Dry Friction

Abstract
The MM2OO tribo -tester was used to investigate the accelerated wear life mechanism of 3Cr13 coating prepared by high velocity arc spraying under dry friction condition The cross -sectional microstructure , hardness and residual stress of the coatings were analyzed and observed by means of SEM , XRD , Vicker hardness tester and Nano -test 600 indentation tester under an accelerated wear process of coatings , which consists of run -in wear , stable wear and severe wear The results of experiments showed that the wear mechanism and the principal factor affecting residual stress of the coatings were dynamic variable under accelerated wear life process The failure of coating was aggravated by excessive cold work hardening The wear lifetime of coating was determined by lifetime of stable wear
