Calculation and Analysis on Dynamic Coefficients of Circular Pivot-pad Thrust Bearing

Abstract
A model of calculating dynamic coefficients of circular pivot pad thrust bearing is derived and the equations about the properties are solved by using finite element method. The dynamic coefficients of the bearing are given and the influence of pad deformation on dynamic coefficients is analyzed. The method to select the stiffness coefficients of pad supporting spring is discussed. It is assumed that the method and calculating dada can be used as references in designing and running of circular pivoted pad thrust bearing.
