Abstract
Domain decomposition method was applied in the hydrodynamic lubrication analysis of textured surfaces.Numeric simulation indicated that the computable scale and calculating efficiency was improved remarkably comparing with conventional solution method. The optimal texture surface patterns of the plate bearing and the step bearing was found through a series of numerical analyses which include different types of texture distribution patterns. The experiment of representative patterns of step bearing was carried out. Experimental results indicated that the prediction of load-carrying capacities of laser textured step bearings accorded with experiment results.
