Abstract
In this paper, the nickel-based high-temperature self-lubricating composites were produced by hot press sintering. The influence of small amount addition of Ti on the mechanical and tribological properties of the composites was investigated. The results show that both of two composites exhibited a low friction coefficient. By Ti addition in the composites, the hardness improved, the room-temperature bending strength decreased, the room-temperature compressive strength almost retained, the friction coefficient reduced and the wear resistance enhanced. Similar wear mechanism was observed for the two composites.
