Abstract
Effects of curing temperature, sliding speed and applied load on the tribological property of PFW bonded composite coating were studied using a ring-on-block wear tester. The worn surfaces of the PFW bonded composite coating and the transfer films formed on the surface of the GCr15 bearing steel were investigated by a scanning electron microscope(SEM) and an optical microscope. The PFW bonded composite coating had much better anti-wear behaviors than the PTFE bonded composite coating within curing temperature. Moreover, the friction and wear behaviors of the PFW bonded composite coating were depended on applied load and sliding speed. With the increase of applied load, the friction coefficient and the wear life of the PFW bonded coating decreased. The friction coefficient of the PFW bonded coatings decreased with increasing sliding speed, and the wear life of the coating was the longest at a speed of 2.56 m/s under 320 N.
