Investigation of the Dynamic Characteristics of Mechanism with Porous Squeeze Film Lubricated Joint

Abstract
The porous squeeze film joint is developed for controlling the mechanism clearance effects. Illustrative examples are presented to show the effects of porous squeeze film joint on the dynamic characteristics of the mechanisms. The control ability of squeeze film joint and porous squeeze film joint under big impact loads are comparatively analyzed. The analytical results indicate that porous squeeze film joint can operate more effectively for the mechanisms working with greater condition changes.
