Abstract
Wear experiments were conducted on the several friction couples consisting of new slanting wedges and wear plates materials for frictional damping system in order to clarify their friction and wear mechanism. Results showed that the friction couples consisting of T10 and ADI austempered ductile iron, austenite-bainite gray casting iron, and macromolecule material are superior to the common 45 steel and ADI austempered ductile iron friction couple in the wear resistances. Relative wear resistance of wear plate materials is better than coupled slanting wedges. T10 and macromolecule material friction couple shows the best tribological performance.
