Abstract:
Wear behavior of diamonds and their holder metal adhesive has been studied on the basis of previous researches on diamond segment wear. The worn surfaces of diamond segments under various conditions were observed with SEM. The results show that the performance of diamond sawblade in sawing granites depended on the working state of diamonds on the segment surface. The conditions such as grain size, concentration and quality of diamonds, property of adhesive and granite workpiece, combinations of depth of cut and feed speed influenced the service performance of the sawblade.
