范德华力对计算机磁头/磁盘超薄气膜承载性能的影响
Influence of Van der Waals Force on the Ultra-thin Gas Lubrication of Magnetic Head/Disk

摘要: 在纳米间隙条件下,以楔型滑块和双轨式磁头为例,推导出楔型及双轨式磁头范德华力的计算公式,考察了范德华力对计算机磁头/磁盘超薄气膜承载性能的影响.结果表明,范德华力对计算机磁头/磁盘的承载性能影响很大,范德华力可以降低磁头的承载能力,尤其在最小空气间隙小于6 nm时;在相同尺寸的磁头中,双轨式磁头的范德华力小于楔型滑块的范德华力,而前者的承载力大于后者,双轨式磁头的范德华力对其承载性能影响较小.范德华力可以使飞行高度降低,为磁头设计和磁头/磁盘装配的重要依据.Abstract: Current thickness of the gas film in air bearing of Magnetic head/disk is only 8 nm.At such a small spacing,it is expected reasonably that the surface force will come into action.Numerical analysis was conducted to explore the possibility of Van der Waals force on magnetic head/disk.The numerical results show that Van der Waals force reduces the loading force of wedge-type slide block and double-track magnetic head,especially when the minimum spacing is below 6nm.Having the same dimension,the influence of Van der Waals force on double-track magnetic head is smaller than wedge-type slide block's. It is expected reasonably that the influence of Van der Waals is critical to magnetic head/disk,which is important for design and assembling of magnetic head.
