Abstract:
The calculations of running in process are carried out with non Newtonian thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication. The influences of smooth surface and asperity wear with different height and slope on the lubrication properties are considered. The results show that although the profile wear of the surface is not beneficial to the lubrication, the asperity wear does. In consideration of coupling wear of profile and asperity, the minimum film thickness increases in a certain worn height. Therefore, the wear of asperity is beneficial to lubrication in this region.
