Abstract:
The current state and progress of the study on wear numerical simulation technology were summarized. The application of numerical simulation methods to the study of abrasive wear mechanism, fatigue wear mechanism, worn surface topography, and wear prediction and calculation of components was reviewed. It was pointed out that the abrasive wear simulation study was mainly concentrated on the prediction of two-body wear, while the fatigue wear simulation was focused on the establishment of the model making use of fracture mechanics and finite element methods, by accounting for the parameters quantitative calculation and numerical simulation of the fatigue crack behavior. Besides, the wear simulation of practical frictional parts was concentrated on the wear analysis of gear-cam and cylinder liner-piston ring systems. The problems to be solved and the future directions to be furthered were suggested as well.
