Abstract:
In this paper,we have analysed the vibration characteristics of frictional force (shearing force) due to sliding friction in the rubbing-pair of bearing steel-CVD CrrCs coating steel and how it influences the friction and wear performances of material. The coefficients of both the stiffness and the damping are low in the normal and horizontal directions within t he sample system. All t he test signals have been collected, processed and spectraly analysed by using microcomputers. The results have shown that under the given experimental conditions, the vibration type of frictional force are related to normal load, but not to the pulling-velo-city. When t he f rict ional force appeared to be periodic self-excited vibration, it revealed a typical nonlinear relationship with the relative sliding velocity, and its vibration frequency, in horizontal direction, approaching the natural frequency of the sample system. On the other hand, when the frictional force appeared to be in the unsteady and random vibration state, its vibration frequency has been related to the vibration frequency of system in the normal direction. The results have also indicated that there is certain relationship between the kinetics property of frictional pair and the vibration type of frictional force, but the former has no direct relationship with the average sliding friction coefficient. And, the dissipated energy by frictional force is proportional to normal load and so on.
