Abstract:
With the test rig for lubricating films in slider-on-disc contact, the influence of oleophobic FAS (C

Due to dewetting of FAS transfer film, the oil replenishment at the outlet of the contact area was significantly enhanced. The oil distribution on the disc surface varied from side-ridge-type to discrete droplet-type, and aggregated to the central area of the lubrication track, which can enhance the oil supply at the inlet area, and therefore the oil film thickness was increased.
